The purposes of this interactive resource are to:
- illustrate what can be learned from Hong Kong schools which have developed strong imaginative approaches to self-evaluation
- offer guidance on embedding self-evaluation in the day-to-day work of the school and classroom
- show how effective self-evaluation prepares schools well for external review
- give access to tools of self-evaluation which are school and teacher friendly
- minimise preparation for external school review and remove anxiety
- illustrate how other countries handle self-evaluation and external review; and
- provide useful resource materials for school-based staff development activities to enhance SSE in schools
