To insure that quality in teaching and learning does occur, teachers have the opportunity to participate in training and development for their own professional development. There are opportunities for them to set goals, professional goals, which they would share with their supervisor. And then in-services services occur throughout the year they have the opportunity to attend those and then once they report back to the other staff they can share what they've learnt so that further training development can be passed on to their colleagues. Interested teachers also have the opportunity to do collegial observations of one another's classes. If there is a teacher that feels confident in a certain teaching and learning area and another teacher would like to observe the teaching practices in person then often the teachers negotiated time and place that they can observe one another's lessons and throughout all these approaches we try to keep the quality of teaching and learning at a high standard within Noumea primary school.
