As I see it, there are two main purposes of SSE/ESR. The first is accountability, to oneself and to parents, the community, and most important of all, to the students. Ultimately, what we do should all be done for the students. The second purpose is for improvement. Through SSE/ESR, we can make improvements to learning and teaching, so that students can learn and grow better. This is how I see the purposes of SSE/ESR.
