About data collection, we would crop the data of students' performance of certain reading skills from their exercises and various parts of the exam papers. An exam paper may contain multiple parts, and this time we may choose to look at whether they can master a certain text type, and so for the whole year we would collect data concerning this text type to gauge any differences in students' ability over the course of the year. If it shows that students have attained our targets, we may then proceed from one particular text type, e.g. expository texts, to the next type, such as argumentative texts.
