In response to parents' request, the school ran a parent education programme on successful parenting. The programme is designed to match our needs, including such activities as "training for successful parents", and inviting a social worker to help us with skills to communicate with children. The teachers too help us to know about the students' learning, especially project learning. There are parents who themselves are experts in parenting skills, who come to share with us their knowledge about EQ and IQ. The parents' programme also includes some interest groups led by fellow parents, e.g. dance; I was a tutor of a Putonghua class, and we had great fun from them, and learnt a lot. I also communicate often with other parents, and share our experience in how to relate to our children. It's quite helpful.
