Self-evaluation is something that we do naturally as part of day to day work of a teacher, of a professional. We're constantly trying to improve what we're doing so that we can deliver improved teaching and learning to our pupils. Obviously because it's an academic department one of the first things we look at when we're trying to ascertain how good we are at what we're doing is our attainment results and something that we've always done is analysed our results from National Qualifications and 5-14. And that gives us a very clear picture of where we're at. But as important as that is we're also looking at course provision, we're looking at resources, we're looking at management in the department, we're looking at leadership to be taken forward. And you might think to start with well how can we fit that in to everything we're doing on a daily basis and you'd be surprised to see that it is something we do automatically.
